The Hunt for Cheez-Its and Reese’s Pieces – and Pizza Rolls

For Winter Break, I spent my days cooped up inside my home which protected me from the harsh winds blowing outside. I tried busying myself by being on Netflix, but I spent the majority of my time trying to find something to watch. The lovely small town of Bremen was cold. You could look out the window and not a single soul was walking outside; they were afraid of the harsh winds. The inside of my house, however, was like a ghost town. I didn’t have any Cheez Its or Reese’s Pieces! I looked and searched frantically in my pantry. I even put my blood, sweat, and determination in the hunt to find Cheez Its and Reese’s Pieces, but my mission had failed. After shedding a few tears over the failure of my failed mission on “The Hunt for Cheez Its and Reese’s Pieces”, I decided to look through my fridge. I. WAS. STARVING. Since there wasn’t anything in my fridge, I looked through my freezer and found Pizza Rolls! I warmed up some Pizza Rolls and ate them. A few hours passed and I was still bored. This continued on for the rest of my Winter Break. #nonfiction #justkidding #mywinterbreakwasboringthough

Future Fridays!

Last Friday, Mrs. Faith Pullen came to our class and talked about her job as the vice president of Wayne Davis Concrete. She talked about how important it is to wear a seat belt when you’re in a semi-truck and even in general! Wayne Davis Concrete does sound interesting because she talked about her job with great passion! Not only did she talk about her job as vice president, but also other jobs available at Wayne Davis Concrete. Even though Wayne Davis Concrete seems like an interesting workplace, I am more into the medical science area.

Future Friday

Last Friday, Mr Dave Pollard came to our class to talk about his job as a stock broker. He told us how he became what he is today, and all the skills one needs in order to become a stock broker. He talked about his job with such great passion! Not only did he tell us what he does on an average day, but he also told us about how he meets up with clients. In fact, he was meeting up with a client the same day he talked to us! Even though his career as a stock broker sounded interesting, I knew that being a stock broker wasn’t the job for me.
